Where does the money go that the St. Michael Lions raise?


ALL money raised through Lions Club activities is donated back into the community. Most of the money raised goes to local charities and organizations to help build a stronger community.  These inlude: STMA Marching Band, Eagle Scout Projects, STMA Staff Development Fund, STMA Elementary, St. Michael Parish School, Functional Industries, Lions Wellness Van, Scholarships, STMA Student Clubs, Youth Outreach, Youth Exchange, Camp Courage, STMA Wrestling Club, Pavilion at St. Michael Park, STMA Youth Baseball, St. Michael Boy Scouts, STMA Graduation Party, St. Michaael Park Board, St. Michael Baseball Coaches, Beebe Lake Committee, St. Michael Gymnastics Association, St. Michael Park, St. Michael Girl Scouts, STMA Industrial Technology Dept., Hanover Foodshelf, Local puppy raiser for the blind, Heart Defibrillators at Area Schools, as well as Relay for Life.

Donations are also made to the Minnesota Lions' Eye Bank, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Hearing Dogs of Minnesota, Lions Club International Foundation, Lions' Hearing Fund, National Child Safety Council, Children's Eye Clinic, Bids for Kids, Camp Courage, Youth Exchange, Youth Outreach,  as well as many other national and international humanitarian charities.

All money is dispersed at the board meetings via board member vote.
